Show Me Reptiles & Exotics Show Slithers in With Their Burmese Python Twinkie

Paula Sands with KWQC invited husband and wife Tamara and Micky Meyer from Show Me Snakes. The couple brought along with them Burmese Python and education ambassador Twinkie, as well as Blue Tongue Skink Spunky from Australia. The couples focus is on bettering the reptile community through education. They are encouraging responsible ownership by providing the knowledge needed to properly care for these animals, as they require unique care to that of a cat or dog.

The Show Me Reptiles show started back when they were breeding snakes. As they met more members of the community and became more involved, they decided that they wanted to create their own show to help educate people. At the Iowa show, they will have amphibians, turtles, ball pythons, corn snakes, hedgehogs, and even sugar gliders. Micky says that almost anything legal to own in Iowa will be at the show.

On Sunday, June 27th, Show Me Snakes is having their Show Me Reptiles & Exotics show at The Golden Leaf Banquet & Convention Center from 10AM-3:30PM. This is a great opportunity to get the family out and learn about some unique pets!
