Tamara Meyers joined KY3 news to help promote their upcoming Show Me Reptiles & Exotics show. With her, she brought several different animals to help educate viewers before the event. Twinkie, their Burmese Python and education ambassador, was calmly draped across Alyssa Kelly's shoulders as the two spoke. Another guest, their Marginated Tortoise Tortie, was hanging out on the table between the 2. In Tamara's hands, she had a Ball Python, which gets its name from sitting like a ball. This is a great first time snake to own, as well as the Corn Snakes.
Staying on theme with educating people about reptiles, Tamara also brought 2 venomous snake species. It's important for everyone, especially kids who may be outside exploring on their own, to know what snakes to stay away from. Since they are licensed and legally allowed to own native venomous species, Tamara brought both a Timber Rattlesnake and a Copperhead. These are just a few of the examples of what types of animals guests will see at the Show Me Reptiles & Exotics Show.
This is a great family friendly event for people who are interested in joining the reptile community, or for those who are already involved. It's a great place to find supplies, or maybe even a new pet, with help directly from breeders and enthusiasts. General admission is $6 and doors open at 10AM. VIP is also $6 due to a special deal through OzarkDeals.com. Guests will be able to arrive an hour early at 9AM for the same price as general admission! After 1PM, kids under 12 and first responders are free. Can't wait to see everyone!
