Gateway Herpetology and Entomology Club

The Gateway Herpetology and Entomology Club located in St. Louis, Missouri focuses on Amphibians/Reptiles (Herpetology), and insects (Entomology). This is a great organization to get involved with if enthusiasts are looking for ways to help their community even after the Show Me Reptiles & Exotics Shows have ended. Locally, the club aids in the rehabilitation and placement of animals into specialized care when necessary. The clubs outreach doesn't stop there, as it is involved with global initiatives as well.

Through education and with the help of the community, the members of the club hope to promote conservation and preserve not just local, but global ecosystems. By collaborating with conservation organizations, the group has been able to raise funds to help protect endangered species. The focus of the project has been on the Yellow–blotched palm–pit viper, a vibrant and beautiful venomous snake that is native to the mountains in Mexico and Guatemala. The team is currently working in Guatemala.

Please consider getting involved in the Gateway Herpetology and Entomology Club! It is a great opportunity to become further involved in the community while helping research endangered species globally.
