Central MS Turtle Rescue

We welcome returns, no questions asked, on any turtle or tortoise adopted from the Central MS Turtle Rescue.

We do not charge adoption fees; however, if the turtle is to be shipped, adopter pays all shipping fees. Additional donations are welcome anytime.

We are willing to ship, on a case-by-case basis - adopter pays all shipping costs. If a turtle is to be shipped out of state, the adoption must also first be approved by the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Shipping is temperature-sensitive. Depending on where you live, we may not be able to ship to you during summer or winter. We ONLY ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for priority overnight delivery. We do not ship door-to-door. For the safety of the turtle, we will ship only to an approved FedEx Ship Center near you, where you can pick up the turtle. Adopted turtles can still be picked up locally in Florence, Mississippi. We follow all shipping guidance issued by ShipYourReptiles.com. There will be absolutely no adoptions, local or otherwise, between November 15 and January 15 due to increased shipping volume during the holidays and to allow our staff a few weeks for family commitments. Please be familiar with your state and local laws. We will not willingly or knowingly adopt any turtle where it is prohibited to do so by law.
