The Lizard Lighthouse Reptile Rescue

Adoptee(s) agree that in no event will the pet be surrendered to a shelter or research facility. Adoptee(s) further agree that the pet will not be abandoned, sold, or gifted to a third party under any circumstances. If, for any reason, Adoptee(s) decide to surrender the pet, Adoptee(s) hereby agree to willingly return the pet to The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated at no cost to The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated. By doing so, this Agreement shall terminate, and Adoptee(s) will immediately relinquish all rights to the pet, and The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated will become the sole owner of the pet. If Adoptee(s) do not fulfill all obligations with respect to the care of the pet as described in this Agreement and as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated and its medical professionals, Adoptee(s) hereby grant The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated complete and absolute authority to reclaim immediate possession of the pet, in which case this Agreement shall terminate, and Adoptee(s) relinquish all rights to the pet, and The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated will become the sole owner of the pet.

The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated hereby agrees to transfer to Adoptee(s), the animal listed above in exchange for consideration of the adoption amount listed for a specific animal.

The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated does accept payment plans of 50% of the adoption fee of the animal prior to adoption as a non-refundable deposit to hold the animal aforementioned. The secondary 50% of the adoption fee must be paid prior to the pickup of the animal.

All animals must be picked up in Nebraska or Western Iowa within a reasonable driving distance from where they are being fostered. Shipping is NOT available.

Adoptee(s) agree that they are taking the pet “as is” and with any and all faults, including, but not limited to, medical, behavioral, or otherwise. All steps are taken to ensure that only healthy animals are made available for adoption; however, previous exposure to disease or injury or predisposition to illness and medical conditions may not be apparent or known at the time of adoption. The Lizard Lighthouse, Incorporated does not make any representations, warranties, or guarantees, expressed or implied, regarding the suitability or fitness of this animal to the Adoptee(s).
