Pigeon researcher, breeder, and rescuer since 2012, developing a breed specifically for therapy work by blending the seven most structurally sound, intelligent performance breeds with the seven most tractable exhibition breeds, and two other breeds for specific embellishments. Also developing a training program based around verbal communication. When we can resume hatching, our young birds will be trained for the first six months of their lives in understanding verbal communication, answering yes or no questions, and travel in public wearing a custom fit harness. Young birds will be evaluated by structural soundness, interest in human companionship, eagerness to learn, learning speed, comfort in the harness, and comfort in public. If, at 6 months old, either baby scores higher than their parents, the parents will be retired together as pets. The baby that scores higher than their sibling in all categories will be kept to contribute to the next generation. and the remaining sibling will be evaluated and placed either as a pet or a therapy prospect. Retired breeders and young birds, whether pet or therapy prospect, come with the harness that was made for them. Rescues receive any veterinary care they need to be healthy and a thorough evaluation of their temperament before they are matched with the adopter best prepared to care for the bird and whose temperament is the best fit for that individual. I do not plan to sell birds at the show. We will have a display set up to showcase housing indoors, an ambassador animal for visitors to meet, and give talks about pigeon cognition, training, and our history with them. I may allow adopters or clients to pick up a bird for whom they have passed screening and whose fee they have paid in full prior to the show, but, to prevent impulse purchases, I don't allow same day sales.
Birds sold from 2025 onwards have a no questions asked return policy, but no refunds can be issued. The funds we receive from the sale of our birds, harnesses, and craft feathers go straight into feed, supplements, cleaning supplies, meds, and vet care for our flock or construction and maintenance for the facilities housing them.
I accept payments either in cash or via PayPal and Cash app.
I cannot offer payment plans at this time.
Shipping is available with in the continental US via USPS (the legal method of shipping live birds) at the buyer's expense.
